Until the mid-1960s the sport of motorcycle trials had been dominated by the mighty four stroke machines many of British manufacture. This gave way to a wave of lighter two-stroke motorcycles that came to dominate the sport for 20 years – led by the Spanish brands of Bultaco, Montesa and Ossa, followed by the Japanese and Italian manufacturers.
